The Process

Your journey in 5 stages - from first visit to a warmer, more energy-efficient home.
Free Home Survey
We visit your home to explain the scheme, assess your home's suitability and see what upgrades will help you.
On this no obligation visit, our ESS surveyor will talk you through how the government scheme works and check if you qualify and collect any evidence.
We’ll take photos and measurements, look at your energy systems, and agree on the best option for you.
Planning
We agree on your installation dates and make sure you’re happy with the schedule.
We'll work with you to arrange an installation at a time that suits you and the scheme requirements.
Everything will be confirmed, so you know exactly what to expect.
Installation
Your home gets its energy upgrades installed.
The full installation process can take approximately 6 weeks, depending on the weather and the work needed.
We’ll keep you informed at each stage.
Qualification & Assessment
We confirm your eligibility and assess your property in detail.
We send your information to the local authority to confirm your eligibility. Sometimes this can take a while (up to 6 months), but don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated.
Once funding is approved, we’ll call to confirm everything, discuss install dates and final paperwork dates.
An independent assessor will then visit to review your home’s energy performance. Note: In busier times, this visit may be carried out before qualification.
Completion
Your upgraded home is ready to enjoy, with full guarantees in place.
Once everything is complete, we'll provide a full handover of your new system so you feel confident using it.
All warranties and insurance-backed guarantees will be issued, and we will send you a QR code for easy access.

Household income must be below £36,000 before tax and deductions.
